The Water Dance I walk out the back door, and immediately, i feel the power in the air. The excitement, anxiousness of the water around me.
The warm wind blows on the bare skin of my face, my arms, brushing the hair from my eyes. It's already sticky with moisture.
I clench my fists and throw my head back, closing my eyes and laying back into the caress of the wind.
I feel the energy radiating inside of me, pumping through my veins, and i moan with delight. Smiling is beyond my emotions now.
The lightning hits the ground and shakes. Shakes me.
I giggle, giddy with the sheer power i feel mixed in my blood. I am no longer human.

So What? I identify as something that makes you uncomfortable.

1. How long have you known you are part of the LGBT community?
Since i was.. 11?

2. Was it a struggle (emotionally) for you at the beginning?
nah, i was too young to know it was even "bad".

3. How did you start to discover your sexuality? (Example, thoughts, feelings…ex)
Well, i mean, i just figured that liking and lusting after girls was normal. nobody ever told me it wasn't.

4. What part of the LGBT community do you belong to? (Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, ex)
i'm a naibsel.

5. How long have you been out of the closet, or if your not, do you plan to be at some point?
like.. 5..years? ish?

6. Does your parents/parent know, or will they ever know?
they do.

7. Did they take it well, or do you predict that they will take it well?
My mum was totally cool with it. she's cool about everything.
my dad tried to kick me out of the house, so my mum slept on the couch. that ended quickly. we just don't talk anymore.

8. Would you…
a. Hold hands with your same-sex/gender partner in public?
absolutely! <3 i'd do that even if i wasn't gay.

b. Kiss them in public?
i do all the time. xD

c. Introduce them as 'your girl/boyfriend' to family and friends that haven't met them?
oh, YES. i've recently brought her to a lot of family things and whatnot, and i already fit in just fine into her family. <3

9. What 3 things ANGERS THE HELL outta you about people's terrible 'opinions' about the LGBT community or certain comments, acts, etc.
1. christians.
2. when people say you're still a virgin after having lesbian/gay sex. IT'S STILL SEX. it still has the exact same emotional impact and it's still the same act of intimacy.
3. When people shout "LESBIANS!" at us. because they think we don't know.

10. Do you like/love someone right now of the same gender?
you bet i do. that blue-eyed beauty with the sunlight in her hair.

11. If so, do they know?
*giggles* i'm pretty sure she knows. xD

12. Have you told someone about your sexuality and they took it badly?
well, yeah. a lot of my friends ditched after i came out. and my dad. whatever.

13. Are you proud of who you are?
prouder than a lion who just became a father.

Being a true-born PBS kid, I remember watching a certain Reading Rainbow episode when I was really young. A large part of it was a sort-of documentary about the migration of Monarch Butterflies between the United States and South America. I still have the most vivid picture in my mind of a huge (thousands and thousands) flock of gorgeous butterflies, all roosting in trees--FILLING them--and then, all of a sudden, all of them taking off at once. The sound of their flapping wings roared through the valleys, and their orange and black and white gossamer wings blanketed the clouds.

I think about that episode a lot recently because I can feel every single one of them fluttering inside my belly when I think of you.
